Dr Bijan Jahangiri

Dr Bijan Jahangiri is an interventional and general cardiologist. He is involved in all aspects of general cardiology, but in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory, he has a special interest in intracoronary imaging and coronary physiology. He practices and strongly advocates for evidence-based cardiology.

Cardiology is Bijan’s third medical career, having worked in medical devices research and then as a GP before starting his physician and cardiology training. 

He has trained and worked in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.  As a part of his research role in the Canadian Artificial Heart Program through Ottawa Heart Institute, he was also directly involved in experiments in such American centres as the Cleveland Clinic, University of Stanford, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Louisville.

Bijan is a keen educator and has given lectures and talks in multiple countries and different settings, including universities, hospitals, conferences, and GP educational activities.
