Biography

Dr Brendan Davis is a Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in general cranial, spinal and peripheral nerve neurosurgical conditions consulting and operating at Mater Private Brisbane, Mater Private Redland and Mater Private Mackay.

Dr Davis has subspecialty expertise in treating pituitary tumours, anterior and lateral skull base conditions, trigeminal neuralgia, neuro-oncology and degenerative spinal conditions. 

He completed his Bachelor or Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Griffith University and trained through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in centres of excellence throughout South East Queensland and New Zealand. 

Dr Davis has completed advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive spinal surgery through Mater Hospital Brisbane, and complex skull base surgery through Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in the United Kingdom. 

Addenbrooke’s Hospital founded, in 1766 is a large teaching hospital and research centre with strong affiliations with the University of Cambridge and is considered world-class for neurosurgery. 

Dr Davis is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and holds current 
membership with the Neurological Society of Australasia and the Australian & 
New Zealand Skull Base Society. 

He believes in a patient-centred approach to establish patient goals and to optimise outcomes and recovery.
