Biography
Dr Brett Travers is a Neurologist consulting at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
He provides comprehensive care across a wide range of neurological conditions, with particular expertise in headache disorders, epilepsy, peripheral neuropathy, and autonomic disorders. He has advanced training in acute stroke management, secondary prevention, and long-term stroke care.
Dr Travers is also experienced in procedural treatments including botulinum toxin (Botox) for chronic migraine and other neurological indications.
He gained his medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2015 and has trained extensively at hospitals throughout Queensland including Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Rockhampton and Bundaberg. He undertook advanced neurology training at the Sunshine Coast University and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals followed by fellowships in stroke and general neurology.
