Biography
Dr Cat O'Hare is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist dedicated to providing personalised care through pregnancy, birth and beyond. She is passionate about helping women feel informed, supported and confident throughout their healthcare journey, with care tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Cat provides care for both low and high-risk pregnancies and enjoys supporting women and families through one of life's most important milestones. She believes in clear communication, shared decision-making and building trusted relationships with her patients from the very first appointment.
Alongside her obstetric practice, Cat provides comprehensive gynaecological care for women across all stages of life, from menstrual concerns through to menopause. She offers both surgical and non-surgical treatment options and is committed to ensuring women understand their choices and feel empowered in their healthcare decisions.
Originally from Ireland, Cat moved to Brisbane in 2014 and has worked across Queensland in tertiary, rural and remote settings, caring for women with both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological needs.
She considers it a privilege to care for women during pregnancy and birth, supporting families as they welcome their babies safely into the world.
Outside of work, Cat is kept busy by her young children and not-so-small Irish Wolfhound, Seamus. She enjoys music, practising Spanish and spending time crafting with her children.
