Biography
Dr Chaminda Sella Kapu is an Australian and internationally trained interventional cardiologist.
At the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, Dr Sella Kapu completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) followed by a Master of Medicine (MD), University of Colombo.
Relocating to Australia in 2014, Dr Sella Kapu undertook a fellowship in interventional cardiology at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
In 2016 he returned to Sri Lanka to complete his fellowship gaining experience at several major public and private hospitals.
Dr Sella Kapu commenced his public appointment at Mackay Base Hospital in 2023 and received his Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Physions (FRACP) in 2024.
Dr Sella Kapu consults and operates privately at Mater Private Hospital Mackay.
