Dr Corney has administrative experience as the previous Deputy Director of the Division of Medicine at West Moreton – Ipswich Hospital and thereafter, the Director of Internal Medicine and Perioperative Medicine at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane.
After retiring from the public sector, Dr Corney runs a busy Private Practice centred at the Mater Private Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital.
Dr Corney is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, lecturing in Medicine. Dr Corney is the Chair of the Mater Hospital’s Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
