Dr Christian Ibraheem, a Gold Coast local, is a highly qualified surgeon with specialised training in Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric, and Endocrine Surgery. He completed his General Surgery Fellowship followed by a subspecialty Fellowship in various public and private hospitals, gaining expertise in a wide range of procedures including malignancy resections, benign upper gastrointestinal surgeries, bariatric surgeries, endocrine surgeries, and interventional endoscopic procedures. His extensive education includes a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Griffith University, along with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science and a Master of Pharmacy.

Throughout his career, Dr Ibraheem has demonstrated dedication to patient care and surgical excellence. He completed his residency and house officer training in reputable hospitals such as Gold Coast University Hospital and the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital, earning a position in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons SET trainee program for General Surgery. He further honed his skills through fellowships in HPB/Bariatric Surgery and Upper Gastrointestinal/Bariatric Surgery and Endocrine Surgery.

Since 2024, Dr Ibraheem has been practicing as a consultant surgeon in Queensland's Metro South Hospitals, focusing on QEII, and local Gold Coast private hospitals. He is actively involved in committees aimed at enhancing patient care standards and medical education. His pending appointment as an Associate Professor at Griffith University School of Medicine and Dentistry underscores his contributions to research and teaching.

Dr Ibraheem offers consultations in various subspecialty areas as well as general surgical services such as laparoscopic procedures, hernia surgery, emergency/trauma surgery, and endoscopy. He collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary network of healthcare professionals in Queensland and Victoria to ensure patients receive the highest standard of multidisciplinary care.
