Dr Cynthia Ong

Obstetric endocrinology, osteoporosis, diabetes and thyroid disease

Dr Cynthia Ong is a consultant endocrinologist with the Brisbane Diabetes Endocrinology Group.

Dr Ong graduated from the Sydney University and completed her clinical training in Sydney. She completed an osteoporosis and metabolic bone fellowship at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research before undertaking further postgraduate research studies in obesity and reproductive endocrinology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Dr Ong has worked at the Royal North Shore Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney; the Princess Alexandra and Mater before commencing Private Practice in 2010. Dr Ong is a visiting specialist at Mater.

Dr Ong has a special interest in obstetric medicine, osteoporosis and general endocrinology. In particular, she is committed to assisting expectant mothers with high risk pregnancies to improve their outcomes.
