Biography

Dr David Christie is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with particular interests in disorders of the shoulder and knee. He performs arthroscopic, reconstructive and joint replacement surgery, as well as trauma surgery involving these areas.

Dr Christie undertook advanced orthopaedic training in Queensland, working across several regional and tertiary hospitals including Gold Coast University Hospital. He was mentored by internationally recognised orthopaedic shoulder and knee surgeons and completed his orthopaedic training, achieving the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2005.

Dr Christie established his private practice on the Gold Coast in 2005 in association with Dr Angus Nicoll. He is committed to providing evidence-based orthopaedic care and continues to undertake professional development, including training in contemporary arthroscopic surgical techniques and participation in national and international orthopaedic meetings.

Dr Christie performs surgery at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast and Pindara Private Hospital. He consults with approximately 700 new patients each year and performs more than 500 knee and shoulder procedures annually.
