Dr David Mackrill

Colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, endometriosis, faecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, constipation, obstructive defaecation, fistula-in-ano, haemorrhoids and anal fissures, pilonidal sinus disease 
 

Dr David Mackrill is a specialist colorectal surgeon. Dr Mackrill completed medical school in England and moved to Australia in 2007 where he trained as a general surgeon. He then completed a further two-year fellowship in colorectal surgery, specialising in surgical and non-surgical management of conditions affecting the colon, rectum and anus. 

Dr Mackrill moved to Mackay in 2019, enabling patients to access specialist colorectal services locally instead of having to travel to Townsville or Brisbane. He has advanced skills and a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and management of functional bowel disorders. 

Dr Mackrill is an accredited endoscopist and regularly performs colonoscopy. He also sees patients with other surgical problems of the abdomen.
