Biography

Dr Deanne Vagg is an accomplished obstetrician and gynaecologist. She completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, following a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Griffith University. 

Dr Vagg has completed her specialist training across several major tertiary centres, including the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, Royal Darwin Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital. 

She has a broad interest in clinical research and protocol development aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes in women’s health. Dr Vagg manages both low-risk and high-risk antenatal patients, ensuring her patients feel supported and educated to make choices throughout their pregnancy based on their preferences. Dr Vagg also cares for many gynaecological conditions including vulvar concerns, fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS. 

In addition to her clinical and academic work, Dr Vagg is actively involved in medical student teaching and has co-led clinical initiatives aimed at improving preterm birth information resources for clinicians. Outside of medicine, she is a Gold Coast girl at heart, loving the beach, playing representative touch football and spending time with her family and friends.
