Biography

Dr Drew Cronin is a Queensland trained and fully certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is a representative on their Younger Fellows Board. He is also a member of The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).

Dr Cronin completed his medical training at Griffith University, graduating as a member of the ‘Golden Key’ for academic excellence. After completing his residency, he took registrar positions in general surgery and ears, nose and throat Surgery before being accepted onto the plastic surgery training program. Dr Cronin’s training involved rotations through the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane and Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, where he underwent additional training in all areas of plastic urgery, including:

  • Complex skin cancer excision and reconstruction
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Head and Neck cancer excision and reconstruction
  • Hand surgery
  • Microsurgery
  • Trauma
