Biography
Dr Elizabeth Goode is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist providing care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
Dr Goode consults privately with Mater Hill Gastroenterology and holds public appointments at Mater Hospital Brisbane and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
She provides comprehensive general gastroenterology services, including diagnostic and surveillance gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as liver stiffness assessment with Fibroscan.
Dr Goode completed her medical degree at Imperial College London and undertook specialist gastroenterology training in the UK, including Addenbrooke’s Hospital, a specialist liver transplant centre. She also completed a PhD through the University of Cambridge and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, focusing on the genetics of immune-mediated liver disease.
Dr Goode relocated to Brisbane in 2020 to complete advanced specialist training. In addition to her clinical practice, she leads a research program in immune-mediated liver disease at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.
