Biography
Dr Emily Horsley is a specialist paediatrician working at Mater Mothers’ Hospital Brisbane, and the Queensland Children's Hospital.
Dr Horsley completed her medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2005 prior to completing her specialist paediatric training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in 2012.
She has an extensive educational background including a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and has continued her education through research, centred around paediatric disease as well as patient safety and quality Improvement. She has had broad training and experience in the management of a wide range of neonatal and paediatric acute, developmental, and chronic illnesses.
Dr Horsley enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary partnership with families, general practitioners, allied health professionals, and educators to help children reach their full potential. She aims to empower families and children to take ownership of their health and be an active team member in directing their health care journey.
