Dr Eric Khoo

Head and neck cancer, genitourinary cancer, skin cancer, stereotactic radiotherapy, benign and functional disease.

Dr Eric Khoo is a multilingual radiation oncologist who values clear, open communication and works closely with patients to support informed decision-making throughout their care. His clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, supported by ongoing involvement in medical education and cancer research.

Dr Eric Khoo is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre on the Gold Coast. Dr Khoo completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Otago in 1999 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2007.

Dr Khoo has extensive experience across both metropolitan and regional cancer centres, including senior roles at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney. Dr Khoo has played a key role in the development of radiation oncology services in regional Australia, supporting access to advanced treatment closer to home.

Dr Khoo is actively involved in clinical research and has been a principal investigator for multiple national and international clinical trials. He has also contributed to education and training as a Director of Training and supervisor of registrars and medical students.

Dr Khoo treats a broad range of cancers and benign conditions, with particular clinical interests in skin cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer and genitourinary (prostate, bladder and kidney) cancers, as well as stereotactic radiotherapy for lung, bone, brain tumours and extracranial benign conditions.
