Biography

Dr Estella was born in Queensland and graduated from the University of Queensland (Medicine) in 1994 with the prize in medicine therapeutics. He has spent time working in rural and metropolitan Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand. The different locations, and people he has treated, have led Dr Estella to develop an individual approach to each patient, investigating and managing their needs and conditions.

His endocrine training commenced in Brisbane at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Hospital. He has undertaken further studies and a PhD in the area of Type 1 diabetes, immunology and pancreatic islet transplantation at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research.

Dr Estella has authored many articles and medical papers and is dedicated to keeping up-to-date with the latest medical developments. He regularly visits Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Mothers Private Hospitals. His outpatient practices are at the Taylor Medical Centre and Mater Health Hub, Springfield.

Dr Estella aims to combine current medical evidence with consultation and discussion to create positive and healthy outcomes.
