Biography
Dr Tan graduated from the University of Otago in 1998 and went on to complete advanced training in orthopaedics in Newcastle, New South Wales. He gained hand and upper limb training with fellowships in Liverpool, UK and Wrightington, UK. He then returned to Australia in 2010 where he has been working as an orthopaedic hand and upper limb surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast.
As a result of his commitment to excellence in orthopaedic surgery, Dr Tan is heavily involved in registrar and fellow training at Gold Coast University Hospital. His area of interest is the full range of hand and upper limb conditions with assessment and treatment tailored to each patient's pursuits. He is committed to providing patients with a bespoke management plan to suit their individual needs. He works with the major sports clubs on the Gold Coast to the elite level and enjoys getting patients back to performance.
