Biography
Dr Felicity Murphy is a Medical Oncologist and her particular interests are melanoma, thoracic and gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr Murphy obtained her undergraduate degree at Monash University in Melbourne in 2001. She developed an interest in Medical Oncology during a clinical fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and completed Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2006. Speciality training in Medical Oncology was undertaken in Melbourne and she obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2009. She undertook a three year research fellowship at the University of Oxford NHS Trust in thoracic cancers, early phase clinical trials and melanoma. She collaborated with the Cancer Epidemiology Unit, contributing to analyses within The Million Women Study. Dr Murphy also has experience in treating neuroendocrine tumours having worked at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and melanoma at the PA Hospital.
Dr Murphy is a member of the the Mater Human Research Ethics Committee as well as:

- The Medical Oncology Group of Australia
She enjoys patient care within a multi-disciplinary team environment and is keen to foster clinical trial participation so as to enable patients to access novel and emerging therapies
