Biography

Dr Douglas completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology and genetics at the University of Sydney and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland. 

As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health), Dr Douglas takes a holistic approach to child health, focusing on both preventative care and the management of a wide range of paediatric conditions. 

  He has a particular interest in newborn care, faltering growth, developmental delay, asthma, eczema, cough and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 

Dr Douglas is passionate about early intervention and supporting families through the challenges of infant care. 

He helps children meet physical and developmental milestones while managing conditions like ADHD and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to improve quality of life. 

He is an honorary lecturer at James Cook University, mentoring medical students and contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals. 

His broad experience, combined with a compassionate approach, allows Dr Douglas to provide comprehensive, personalised care for a wide range of paediatric health concerns.
