Biography

Dr Hume graduated from The University of Queensland with first class honours before she completed her postgraduate training in gastroenterology at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital (RBWH), where she continues to consult as a visiting gastroenterologist on a part-time basis.

Her special interests include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, general gastroenterology, colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Georgia completed her Phd through the Queensland Institute of Medical Research and University of Queensland in 2013. She is currently a member of the Australian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Association committee and on the Scientific Program Committee for AGW 2018.

She says that one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is the diversity of her private practice, which includes sessions at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane’s Endoscopy Unit.
