Biography

Dr Hannah Burns completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand, before moving to Brisbane to study medicine. She graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Following surgical PHO positions in Queensland and Sydney, Hannah completed her ENT advanced training in Queensland. Hannah gained her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of surgeons in 2008.

After a short locum in Toowoomba, Dr Burns took up a fellowship in Paediatric ENT in London, UK. During her 18 months abroad she gained a subspecialty interest in paediatric airway disorders.

Having returned to Brisbane, Dr Burns has VMO positions at both the Royal Children’s Hospital and Mater Children’s hospital. Privately she has joined Dr’s Canty and McCrystal at HSN and will be operating out of both North West Private Hospital and HSN.
