Clinical Interests
Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery (MIS), complex hernia repair surgery including abdominal wall reconstruction and abdominoplasty, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, gallbladder surgery, bowel surgery, emergency surgery (such as appendicitis, cholecystitis and abscesses), thyroid surgery, breast surgery, pilonidal sinus surgery, haemorrhoids, fissures and perianal fistula surgery, melanoma, skin cancer and soft tissue tumours surgery, vasectomy, circumcision and ingrown toenail surgery.
Biography
Dr Ibrahim completed the comprehensive general surgery training program throughout Queensland in both metropolitan, rural and far north QLD hospitals.
He undertook additional training in 2014 at the University of Strasbourg, France where he obtained a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Endoscopy.
Dr Ibrahim was recognised by The University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine and received the Distinguished Academic Holder title in 2017.
He was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021 and is an accredited endoscopist and colonoscopist with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
Dr Ibrahim has an active interest in research and has been published in several peer reviewed articles and is a staff specialist at the Logan Hospital.
He is an Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland and has presented at Australian and international medical conferences.
While providing exceptional medical care to his patients is Dr Ibrahim’s mission, he is also a committed family man who also enjoys participating and strengthening his relationships within his local community.
