Biography
Dr Ilamurugu (Ilam) Kaliaperumal is a certified Pain Specialist and Anaesthetist practicing at Mater Private Hospital Townsville.
Dr Ilam completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University.
He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and of the Faculty of Pain Medicine Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Dr Ilam is passionate about helping people living with pain achieve a better quality of life.
His special interests include post-surgical pain, post-trauma pain, spine, knee, shoulder, hip pain and cancer pain.
Dr Ilam strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
He has been serving the North Queensland community since 2013.
