Diabetes (all types including Type 1, Type 2, and MODY), Obesity and Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD), metabolic bone health and osteoporosis, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal disorders, lipid disorders, and calcium, parathyroid and electrolyte systems.
Biography
Dr Imran Butt is an Australian trained Endocrinologist and General Physician, consulting and operating at Mater Hospital Springfield and Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at King Edward Medical University in Pakistan in 2008 before relocating to Australia to pursue specialist training. His early postgraduate years included Basic Physician Training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, followed by Advanced Training in General Medicine and Endocrinology in Brisbane.
Dr Butt has held roles across major Queensland hospitals, including Princess Alexandra Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, and Logan Hospital, developing extensive experience managing complex medical and endocrine conditions.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Butt is actively involved in research, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and presenting at national conferences.
