Dr James Allan is a respected Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with Australia’s highest level of surgical training, Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS Plast). After completing his medical degree at the University of Newcastle (United Kingdom), he relocated to Australia and pursued specialised training at major teaching hospitals in Sydney. 

Dr Allan’s expertise spans a multitude of surgical treatments and procedures, from cosmetic enhancement to corrective surgery, encompassing the breast, face and body. With a deep passion for his craft, Dr Allan holds a special interest in complex reconstructive surgery, working closely with patients who have faced cancer or severe injury. 

Driven by an unwavering commitment to deliver surgical excellence to every patient, Dr Allan skillfully blends technical expertise with a deep commitment to patient care. He empowers patients to make confident decisions about their needs and goals through expert guidance and state-of-the-art surgical techniques.  

Currently serving as the Director of Plastic Surgery at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and a Consultant Surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Dr Allan also extends his expertise to private practice. He operates privately from the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
