Dr James McLaren is a highly experienced gynaecologist, who combines advanced surgical skills with a compassionate approach to deliver expert care tailored to your needs consulting who operates at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
Dr James McLaren is a Staff Specialist and Clinical Lead for Gynaecology and Colposcopy Services at Mater Mothers’ Hospital in South Brisbane.
He holds a Bachelor in Endoscopic Surgery and was appointed Faculty Member for the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical and Assessment (GESEA) Course, reflecting his commitment to surgical excellence.
After completing his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the United Kingdom, Dr McLaren was appointed as an Endometriosis and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London.
He has a special interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery and vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES).
Dr McLaren’s particular expertise in vNOTES, an advanced minimally invasive surgical technique that allows selected gynaecological procedures to be performed without abdominal incisions.
