Dr James Reidy is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than two decades of clinical experience. He holds qualifications in both Australia and the United Kingdom where he gained broad exposure across multiple areas of orthopaedic surgery. His clinical focus is on hip and knee conditions, including joint replacement, sports injuries and trauma surgery.

Dr Reidy has extensive experience in major trauma surgery, including three years at the Royal London Hospital, one of the United Kingdom’s busiest major trauma centres. He was instrumental in establishing a dedicated pelvic fracture trauma service at Gold Coast University Hospital, improving access to specialist care for patients across South East Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Dr Reidy is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care and believes in involving patients and their families in treatment decisions. He utilises contemporary surgical techniques and technologies to develop personalised treatment plans focused on improving mobility, function and quality of life.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr Reidy enjoys a range of sports, including field hockey, cricket, rugby and golf. He has competed at national, state and regional levels.
