Dr Jeewaka Wickramasinghe (Dr Jee) is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, offering high-quality, women’s health care and advanced surgical services at Mater Private Hospital Mackay.

He has international experience across Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and Australia, with expertise in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and pelvic floor surgery.

Dr Wickramasinghe(Dr Jee)completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2012 and Doctor of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2019, followed by advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic training through the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, GESEA and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

His subspecialty training includes work at a BSGE‑accredited endometriosis centre and two years as a Medical Training Initiative Trainee in London.

Dr Wickramasinghe (Dr Jee) is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK).

He is actively involved in medical education at James Cook University and an accredited facilitator for the Maternity Education Program-Australia and PROMPT (UK). His academic contributions include teaching appointments at five major universities and authorship of 23 peer-reviewed publications.

His contributions to women’s health have been recognised with awards including the Sir Sabaratnam Arukumaran Young Gynaecologist Award and the North Mid “Greatix” Award for Excellence in Patient Care.

Dr Wickramasinghe (Dr Jee) is committed to patient‑centred care, using modern minimally invasive techniques to optimise recovery and long‑term outcomes. He works closely with referring GPs to support continuity and shared decision‑making.
