Dr Joshua Silverman

Prostate disease, prostate and bladder cancer management, novel techniques for managing Benign Prostatic Enlargement (BPE).

Dr Joshua Silverman is a consultant urologist practicing at The Gold Coast University Hospital and at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast. With a strong commitment to patient-centred care, he specialises in prostate disease, particularly in sexual function preserving treatments for both benign and malignant conditions.

Dr Silverman completed his medical degree and basic surgical training in the United Kingdom before relocating to New Zealand where he undertook his urology training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further refine his expertise, he pursued a fellowship in prostate disease, focusing on minimally invasive and sexual function-preserving treatments including Aquablation.

Returning to the Gold Coast, Dr Silverman now applies his advanced skills to improve patient outcomes across the region. His subspecialty interests include prostate and bladder cancer management and novel techniques for managing Benign Prostatic Enlargement (BPE), ensuring patients receive the latest and most effective treatment options.
