Biography
Dr Kavin Nanda graduated with honours from the National University of Ireland and completed Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training in Dublin, Ireland. He then completed subspecialty training in inflammatory bowel disease at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. In 2012 he moved to Australia to undertake training in therapeutic endoscopy at the world-renowned Westmead Hospital Endoscopy unit in Sydney. He has been practicing in Queensland since 2014.
Dr Nanda has authored and co-authored over 20 publications in the field of IBD and therapeutic endoscopy. He currently holds a senior lecturer position with the University of Queensland and is the clinical lead in endoscopy for Mater Hospital Brisbane. He also practices Gastroenterology/Endoscopy privately at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
His areas of interest include IBD, pancreaticobiliary diseases, colorectal cancer screening, mucosal resection, ERCP and EUS.
Dr Nanda visits Rockhampton fortnightly for consulting and performs procedures at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
