Breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer.

Dr Keith Horwood is a medical oncologist based at Icon Cancer Centre Southport. He also consults from the Icon consulting rooms at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane. His main areas of interest are thoracic oncology (lung cancer and mesothelioma), women’s cancers (breast and ovarian cancer), and upper gastrointestinal cancer.

Dr Horwood graduated from The University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 1989. During his early years as a doctor, he realised oncology was the specialty he was most passionate about. He chose the field for its academic challenge, but above all because he finds helping patients, often in difficult and challenging circumstances, both rewarding and fulfilling.

After completing his advanced training in medical oncology in 1997, Dr Horwood undertook a clinical fellowship in the United States before returning to Brisbane as a specialist at Royal Brisbane Hospital.
