Biography

The journey to parenthood can be both exciting and daunting. As a mother herself Dr Leanne Chapman understands this well.  Leanne will be by your side throughout this journey and beyond, providing the highest quality care so you know that you and your precious baby are in safe hands.  Leanne will listen attentively to you, respecting your wishes and working towards achieving the pregnancy and birth you desire in the safest way possible.

Leanne has the knowledge and skills required to care for patients with high risk pregnancies and to respond to complications that may arise in pregnancy and delivery.  She has gained considerable experience at hospitals such as the Royal Brisbane and Women’s, Gold Coast and Logan Hospitals, and as a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University School of Medicine.

Leanne’s special interests include vaginal birth after a caesarean section (VBAC), mental health in pregnancy, and caring for women who have had previous pregnancy losses.

Leanne also provides the full spectrum of general gynaecological care with interests in menstrual disorders, abnormal CSTs (formerly called 'Pap smears'), and vulval disorders.
