Biography

Dr Luke Nicholls is a Radiation Oncologist who treats Mater public and private patients at Radiation Oncology Princess Alexandra Hospital, Raymond Terrace (ROPART), located at Mater’s South Brisbane campus. 

Dr Nicholls’ subspecialties include prostate, urogenital cancers, head and neck cancers, and he has a special interest in stereotactic radiotherapy. 

 He completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland and went on to complete his specialty training in radiation oncology in Queensland. 

 Dr Nicholls also completed a prostate cancer fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital, 
London and a stereotactic fellowship at Icon Cancer Centre, Greenslopes. 

 He has several peer reviewed publications on topics including lung cancer, prostate cancer, stereotactic radiotherapy and medical education. 

 Dr Nicholls is a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland and is an examiner with 
the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. 

In addition, he is a reviewer for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology and Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences.
