Congenital and acquired cardiac defects, murmurs, palpitation, arrhythmias, chest pain, Syncope (faint/dizziness), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), family history of sudden cardiac death, family history of cardiomyopathy/arrhythmia/cardiac genetic issues.
Biography
Dr Mangesh Jadhav is an experienced Paediatric Cardiologist, specialising in the diagnosis and management of congenital and acquired heart conditions in neonates, children and adolescents. He consults privately and holds a consultant position at Townsville University Hospital.
Dr Jadhav completed his medical degree at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2004, followed by a Doctor of Medicine in Paediatrics from Mumbai University in 2008. He then undertook a Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology at KDA Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, and was awarded the prestigious Bill Marshall Fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging by the Institute of Child Health in 2012.
To further enhance his expertise, Dr Jadhav trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London before relocating to Australia, where he earned Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Paediatric Cardiology in 2019.
He completed subspecialty training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, focusing on paediatric electrophysiology (arrhythmias), non-invasive cardiac imaging (including cardiac MRI and echocardiography), and cardiac intensive care. Prior to moving to Townsville, Dr Jadhav held consultant roles at both the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Heart in Melbourne.
In clinical practice, Dr Jadhav takes a thorough and hands-on approach. He personally performs and interprets ECGs and echocardiograms, ensuring accurate diagnosis and tailored management plans for each patient.
