Biography
Dr Mark Dooris graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 1985. He has a Graduate Diploma in Science (Mathematics) from the University of New England.
He undertook physician training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and advanced training in Cardiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women's, and Prince Charles Hospitals.
He undertook two post FRACP interventional fellowships in the United States (William Beaumont Hospital, Michigan and Rhode Island Hospital, Rhode Island).
He returned to Australia in 1995 and served as a staff Cardiologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital from July 1995 to June 2017, where he served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Labs from 1995 to 2012. Dr Dooris was an early adopter and advocate for primary angioplasty for myocardial infarction, and is committed to ongoing professional development and medical education.
Dr Dooris has recently been appointed as Director of the Mater Catheterisation Lab. He is now accepting private referrals, and consults at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Redlands Specialist Centre, Cleveland.
He has admitting rights at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane.
