Dr Mark Forbes is a General Physician with a particular clinical interest in diabetes and endocrine diseases. He initally trained in South Africa as a Specialist General Physician and then in the United Kingdom as an Endocrinologist before moving to the Gold Coast in 2007.

With a strong interest in clinical innovation and the use of technology, Dr Forbes is committed to delivering cutting-edge care to his patients and the greater healthcare system. He is passionate about providing high-quality, evidenced-based, value-driven healthcare via a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Dr Forbes has extensive experience as Senior Staff Specialist and Clinical Director in the public health sector, where he established highly respected clinical services in general medicine and endocrinology. He remains committed to advancing healthcare through innovation, while continuing to support medical education and research.

Dr Forbes consults from Suite 11 at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast as part of the Forbes Healthcare team. He welcomes referrals for both outpatient consultations and inpatient care when required.
