Dr Mohamed Al-Askari

Breast and axillary surgery, gynaecomastia surgery, thyroid and
minimally invasive parathyroid surgery, bedside ultrasound and biopsy for breast,
thyroid, and parathyroid, laparoscopic gallbladder, hernia repair and appendicectomy,
haemorrhoidectomy, anal fissure surgery, vasectomy, hydrocelectomy, and circumcision,
melanoma and skin cancer surgery, complex pilonidal disease, varicose vein surgery,
endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Mohamed Al-Askari is a highly trained General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in
breast and endocrine surgery, operating at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
He completed his surgical residency in New Zealand, before relocating to Brisbane to
undertake a Fellowship in Breast and Endocrine Surgery, training at both the Royal
Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Wesley Hospital.
Dr Al-Askari has developed advanced skills in breast, thyroid, and parathyroid surgery,
along with clinical ultrasonography.
In 2012, he moved to Gladstone where he established his private practice and began
consulting in both Gladstone and Rockhampton, delivering specialist surgical care to the
Central Queensland community.
