Dr Naeem Khan

Gastroscopy, colonoscopy and haemorrhoid management; laparoscopic bowel surgery; gallbladder and hernia repair; skin and soft tissue surgery including skin cancers, melanomas, lipomas and cysts; pilonoidal sinus disease and perianal fistula disease; treatment of varicose veins; hand and wrist procedures including ganglion excision and carpal tunnel release; abdominoplasty and apronectonomy. 

Dr Naeem Khan is a General Surgeon and Gastrointestinal Endoscopist consulting and operating at Mater Private Hospital Springfield. He has practised as a consultant surgeon since 2011 and has developed extensive expertise in advanced laparoscopic abdominal procedures.

Dr Khan completed his postgraduate surgical training in Brisbane and was awarded  Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery in 2011. He undertook four years of advanced surgical training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, a
recognised centre of excellence for surgical training in Australia.

Prior to relocating to Australia, Dr Khan worked as a general surgeon across multiple  hospitals in South Africa, gaining broad experience in trauma management and complex
surgical conditions.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Khan is a surgical lecturer at The University of  Queensland, and is actively involved in teaching and supervising junior doctors and international medical graduates.
