Dr Parul Sareen

Dr Parul Sareen is a specialist in pain medicine, currently practising at Mater Private Hospital Townsville and consulting at Livewell Pain Clinic. In addition to her private practice, she serves at Townsville University Hospital contributing to outpatient clinics, interventional procedures, inpatient care, and education for patients and healthcare professionals.

Dr Sareen earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University in 2005, followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anaesthesia from Maulana Azad Medical College in 2010.

She completed a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Anaesthesia in 2022 and was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA) in 2024.

Dr Sareen’s clinical experience spans major hospitals including Royal Hobart Hospital, Townsville University Hospital, and Mackay Base Hospital, where she currently serves as a Senior Medical Officer in Persistent Pain Services.

With a strong academic and research background, Dr Sareen has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented award-winning research in perioperative medicine. She is registered with AHPRA and is a member of FFPMANZCA and the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS).

Dr Sareen is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred pain management through evidence-based and interventional approaches, with a focus on improving quality of life.
