Dr Amailuk is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, trained in Australia and New Zealand in the full scope of practice of the surgical specialty including removal of third molars (wisdom teeth), complex extractions, orthodontic exposure of teeth, placement of dental and zygomatic implants, grafting procedures, orthognathic surgery and management of oral pathology and facial trauma.

Dr Amailuk is a registered dentist and medical doctor, obtaining his medical undergraduate degree with honours from Monash University in Melbourne. His surgical training included a rotation through several local centres including Geelong, The Royal Adelaide Hospital, and New Zealand in Christchurch and Hamilton.

Towards the end of his specialty training he applied for and was selected for a highly prestigious maxillofacial oncology and reconstructive fellowship in the United States. He spent two years undergoing sub-specialty training in Head and Neck cancer, Tissue Engineering and Microvascular reconstruction at the University of Miami.

Paul and his family decided to return to Australia in 2020 and are enjoying life on the coast. He is currently working as a Consultant Surgeon - Head and Neck Cancer.

Paul participates in a variety of Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons activities including Maxillofacial trainee and medical student teaching. He places primary importance in helping patients navigate their care journey as smoothly as possible, and believes all patients from simple extractions to complex oncology benefit most from empathy and approachability.
