Biography

Dr Paul Klaassen is an Interventional Cardiologist, in private practice on the Gold Coast.

He completed his undergraduate medical training in Johannesburg and completed his internship at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast.

Over the last 30 years he has worked for a total of four years in America and the remainder of his practice has been in South East Queensland. He completed his cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane and then went onto a structural heart fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship for two years at the University of Minnesota in America. Dr Klaassen has published articles in the American Heart Journal on valvuloplasty. He then returned to the Gold Coast and commenced private practice in 2008.
