Biography

Dr Renee Squires is a Clinical Haematologist at Icon Cancer Centre Southport. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University in 2008 before commencing specialist training in haematology, bone marrow transplantation and haematopathology at Townsville Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).

Dr Squires is experienced in managing a wide range of malignant and non-malignant blood disorders, including leukaemia, lymphoma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative disorders, multiple myeloma, haemoglobinopathies, thrombosis and conditions requiring apheresis. She also has experience in women’s health, obstetric haematology, clotting and bleeding disorders, as well as autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation and apheresis procedures.

Dr Squires is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised care to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients. She has a particular interest in women’s haematology, including the management of obstetric conditions, clotting disorders and bleeding disorders.
