Biography

Dr Richard Kahler is a specialist neurosurgeon at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton. With close to three decades of experience in the field he has developed special interests are in all areas of neurosurgery, spinal surgery and cranial surgery.

Born and raised in Queensland, Dr Kahler completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland. His neurosurgical training was undertaken in Townsville, Brisbane, Perth and the United Kingdom.

In 2005 he partnered with a small group of other specialists in the field to establish BrizBrain & Spine, a Brisbane-based medical practice dedicated to providing modern and advanced treatment for conditions of the brain and spine.

Dr Kahler is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine Bond University and Senior Lecturer at Griffith University.
