Biography
Dr Scott McClintock graduated in medicine from The University of Queensland in 1990 and completed his urology training in Queensland in 2000. During his urological training, he was awarded the prestigious Keith Kirkland Award by the Urological Society of Australasia and the Neville Davis Prize by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Following this, Dr McClintock travelled to the United Kingdom to complete a fellowship in urological oncology and complex urological stone disease at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. In 2002, he returned to Australia to commence private practice on the Gold Coast.
Dr McClintock works in private practice at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast and holds a public appointment as a Visiting Medical Officer at Gold Coast University Hospital. He is Chair of the Clinical Review Committee and Accreditation Committee, and Deputy Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and was the Gold Coast representative on the Queensland Training and Education Committee for the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has been a member of the Australian Medical Association since 1990.
Dr McClintock regularly lectures for the Queensland Cancer Council and provides education for medical students, general practitioners and community groups. He runs a private adult urology practice with particular clinical interests in prostate cancer; urological cancers including renal, bladder and testicular cancer; lower urinary tract symptoms; and urological stone disease.
