Pelvic pain and endometriosis, including laparoscopic excision of endometriosis, hysterectomy (laparoscopic and open/laparotomy), removal of ovaries and ovarian cysts, including salpingo-oophorectomy, colposcopy and management of abnormal cervical screening results, management of vulval and vaginal conditions including lichen sclerosus, removal of uterine polyps, fibroids, and uterine septum, endometrial ablation for heavy menstrual bleeding, heavy periods, abnormal bleeding, adenomyosis and fibroids, menopause and Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT).
Biography
Dr Scott Walker is a gynaecologist with a unique background as a former physiotherapist, bringing a broader and more holistic perspective to women’s health particularly in the management of pelvic pain.
Drawing on both his physiotherapy and medical training, Dr Walker understands the significant impact that chronic pelvic pain, abnormal periods, and heavy bleeding can have on a woman’s quality of life. He is committed to addressing these challenges with empathy and evidence-based care.
Dr Walker has additional expertise in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, allowing him to combine surgical precision with a comprehensive understanding of pain management. Known for his meticulous and thoughtful approach in both the clinic and operating theatre, he prioritises patient safety, careful technique, and the best possible outcomes.
He manages the full spectrum of gynaecological conditions, from menstrual and bleeding disorders to chronic pelvic pain. His particular clinical interest is in pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, where he combines evidence-based medical therapies with minimally invasive surgical options.
Dr Walker also provides comprehensive care for women with complex gynaecological conditions. As a certified colposcopist, he specialises in the assessment and management of abnormal cervical screening results. He also treats vulval and vaginal conditions including vulvodynia, pelvic floor muscle pain and spasm, painful intercourse, abnormal vulval cells, and lichen sclerosus.
Dr Walker has a strong focus on the holistic treatment of pelvic pain, incorporating both surgical and non-surgical treatments as well as multidisciplinary care approaches for conditions such as endometriosis.
His practice is grounded in compassion, advocacy, and patient-centred care. Known for his approachable manner and clear, supportive communication style, Dr Walker ensures patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Walker is an Honorary Assistant Professor at Bond University and is actively involved in training the next generation of doctors.
