Cataract surgery, eyelid tumour removal and reconstruction, glaucoma, lower eyelid malposition, pterygia, facial palsy reconstruction, nasolacrimal surgery and watery eyes, droopy eyelids, eye socket reconstruction, adult and child ptosis, in-turning or out-turning eyelids, thyroid eye disease.

Dr Sharon Morris is a specialist ophthalmologist with a particular interest and fellowship training in oculoplastics, including eyelid reconstructive surgery.

Dr Morris graduated in medicine from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom in 1997 and completed advanced ophthalmic training in London and the South Thames region, becoming an ophthalmic surgeon. She undertook further fellowship training in oculoplastics, focusing on eyelid and orbital conditions, at Sussex Eye Hospital in Brighton. Dr Morris then worked as a Consultant in Emergency Eye and Adnexal/Oculoplastic Care at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

Dr Morris became an elected member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons (ANZSOPS) in 2014 and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) in 2013. She also holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London since 2009 and has been a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh since 2002.

Dr Morris relocated to Australia with her family to join relatives and take up an ophthalmology position on the Gold Coast. She is passionate about providing personalised, high-quality patient care and is actively involved in teaching ophthalmology trainees, medical students at Griffith University and Bond University, and nursing colleagues.

Throughout her career, Dr Morris has regularly presented at local and international meetings, authored peer-reviewed journal publications and contributed a chapter to an encyclopedia of orbital disease. She currently consults at Gold Coast University Hospital, Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast and the Eye Specialist Institute, providing comprehensive care for a range of eye and eyelid conditions.
