Biography
Shiromali Malalasekera is an experienced consultant physician in general medicine, providing inpatient and outpatient care at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
Known for her patient-centred approach and clinical excellence, Dr Malalasekera brings a wealth of experience to the Central Queensland community.
Dr Malalasekera began her medical career at the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, graduating in 2003. She went on to complete her MD in Internal Medicine through the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, in 2011.
She is a fellow of both the Ceylon College of Physicians (FCCP) and Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting her commitment to high standards of care across international healthcare systems.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Malalasekera has a strong academic background and a passion for teaching, contributing to the development of future medical professionals.
