Biography
Dr Stacey Davie is a compassionate gynaecologist practising at Mater Private Hospital
Brisbane, dedicated to supporting women’s health across all life stages.
She holds a medical degree (MBBS/BMedSci) from the University of Melbourne and has
spent more than a decade specialising in women’s health, training in both metropolitan
and rural hospitals throughout Victoria and Queensland.
A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and
Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), Dr Davie spent her advanced training years completing
special interest modules in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery as well as colposcopy.
She also undertook fellow roles in the subspecialties of Gynaecological Oncology and
Urogynaecology.
Dr Davie offers a wide range of surgical options, with a focus on minimally invasive
techniques such as laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. She also performs
vaginal and open abdominal surgeries, tailoring her approach to each woman’s needs
and preferences.
She has joined her Gynaecological Oncology colleagues at GYON, offering benign
gynaecology services within a comprehensive, all-female practice. The team provides
wholistic gynaecological care from routine outpatient management to advanced surgery
for benign and malignant conditions.
Known for her warm, respectful approach, Dr Davie builds strong, trusting relationships
and ensures her patients feel safe, heard, and empowered throughout their health
journey.
A passionate advocate for research and education, Dr Davie has contributed to numerous
women's health research projects and serves as an Associate Lecturer at the University
of Queensland. She is an active member of RANZCOG and several professional
organisations, including the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society,
the Australasian Menopause Society, the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia, and
International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).
