Interventional Cardiology

Dr Stephen Kyranis is a Senior Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Woman's Hospital and is a general and interventional cardiologist admitting patients to the Mater Private Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Woman's Hospital and St Vincent's Northside Hospital.

Stephen completed his cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital and then embarked on further fellowship training in both Australia and overseas.

After completing a further year as an Interventional Cardiology fellow, he undertook an overseas Interventional and Structural Cardiology fellowship at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, United Kingdom. He continued at Royal Papworth Hospital as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist before returning to Brisbane in 2020.

Stephen prioritises patient centred care aimed at respecting your specific health needs while prioritising your goals and values. He prides himself as an excellent communicator and believes in a collaboration involving you as the patient in the decision-making process when planning care and treatment.
