Biography
Dr Vemula is a consultant medical oncologist at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton where he currently runs a clinic every week. He also works as a staff specialist at Rockhampton Hospital.
Dr Vemula has a clinical interest in oncology across multiple solid tumour streams and works closely with cancer patients and their families to achieve their goals. He is actively involved in teaching medical students at the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School and junior medical staff at Rockhampton Hospital.
He completed his basic physician training at Launceston General Hospital and The Royal Hobart Hospital. He then completed advanced training in medical oncology at Calvary Mater Newcastle and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
